He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional and a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA). He was one of the first members of the Registry of Financial Planners in the Washington DC area. Bernie is a Registered Representative and an Investment Advisor Representative with NFP Securities, Inc.
This is Bernie’s second career for the native of Montreal, Canada, who made a name for himself in the 1970s as a goalie for the Washington Capitals. Bernie’s hockey career began while he was a finance major at Sir George Williams University. He was a four-year varsity starter earning All-Star and All-Canadian honors. Bernie lives in Bethesda, MD with his wife Patsy. They have two daughters, Amanda & Jennifer along with three grandchildren.
